Vegetable Seed Breeding

Curious about how our food has become our food?  Seed Breeders have been shaping our food for thousands of years by selecting plants & traits that we want to eat & grow.  At this workshop participants will learn From Telsing Andrews of Aster Lane Edibles about plant adaptation.  Participants will get in field demonstration of plant selection on many different crops, including annual, biennial, & perennial crops & systems.  Seed Savers are inherently adapting & improving varieties - you can enhance your skills by attending this field day.

Anyone interested in where our food comes from, is practising seed saving, or who wants to just enhance their seed saving skills will definitely benefit from this field day.
